Nobody stops by anymore
for obvious reasons
given the pandemic,
which the introverted
part of me loves,
but I realized today
that there are minor consequences
of the isolation,
like the piles on our stairs
that have reproduced
and made so many more piles
that I have come to believe
my stairs are simply narrower
than before.
All that to say
that if you do stop by,
before you judge us,
it should go on record
that we all do still floss,
not that you’ll get close enough
to notice.
