The word “love”

Much has been made of the word love
and how it cannot possibly cover
hairdos and breakfast cereal
and still have enough definition left
for two people
who feel something so big
it cracks the skin of the world
and lets the gravity out
so let’s close our eyes
and make up our own word,
a secret code
for what makes
us float.
