There are many ways
my husband and I are not like
Kim and Kanye
we are not famous
or particularly fashionable
we live in a duplex
and drive dented cars
and I own no eyeshadow at all
but perhaps our biggest hurdle
is that our couple nickname
would not be cool like Kimye
he is Pete and I am Sam
so ours would be Pam
which is enough
right there
to preclude us
but as Kimye dissolves
in front of millions
I cherish the freedom we have
to live our frumpy highs and lows
with no one but ourselves
watching.
