Ode to a kiwi

Stubbly beige egg,
you tricky goat,
pretending to be plain
while inside you harbour
the green of jungles
and your belly,
all those lines jutting out
like the way a kid draws the sun
and those black seeds
splattered
inky
on your surprisingly
wet flesh.
