draw a lovesick rat.
Don’t worry about whether it’s any good,
any more than you worry about whether
you’re good at breathing.
You breathe because you’re alive.
You create for the same reason.
Creativity requires only that,
a heartbeat.
So part the curtain of your soul
and let the light out.
If you wobble,
tell yourself you are simply doing

which is partly making something new,
and partly just practicing
