I am halfway done my life,
which you might think is a gloomy way
to mark a birthday.
It’s all downhill from here,
they say but I know
the fun is just beginning.
You see, I am at the top of the roller-coaster,
my arms are up high
and I know the ride will be wild
but I will laugh my way through it
because everyone knows
that if you want it to be,
going down
is the best part.
