It’s hard to believe they still exist
the men from underneath
those white hoods
those strange faces
so proud
of their hate
what has become of them
in the crumbling edge of life
do they look down
at their shivery old hands
and wonder if it was worth it
all that loathing
or are they too etched
with history
for grace.
