You look kind
a little dim
heavy eyes surrendered inside
the thick sack of your skin
buck teeth
like bones that got added
at the last minute
reminds me of that big girl in grade six
who went a whole lunch hour
with chopsticks stuck to her bum
though I’ve heard you can be fierce
spearing killer whales
and polar bears
with those teeth
I wonder
when you roar
do your eyes still look
so sad.
