i’m so creative it hurts

years ago,
my brother declared:
i’m so creative it hurts

it hurts:
an idea sliver
under skin
uneasy splinters
begging for release

it hurts:
the morning sun
concept spots
burned bright
and persisting

it hurts:
the treadmill mind
must make
must do
must be

it hurts:
a paper cut
outpouring vibrant
heartache
and life

So creative it hurts….I think I understand, in a way. It begs for release, like you HAVE to share it with the world, or it will just infect everything you are, everything in your body.

Great poem. <3
