The perils of texting
I know I’m not supposed to do it
while driving but I confess
I sometimes type a quickie
at a red light
though perhaps this isn’t
what they had in mind
when they warned against it
but rather what happened to me today
when I meant to send a friend
so much love
but instead
from that furtive spot
under the steering wheel
I sent her
so much lice.

I’m laughing so hard at the ‘lice’. I’m always too quick to hit send and then find my mistakes — and the auto-corrects that are so inappropriate.

yes I understand, once I thought I texted “getting my ducks in a row” , it went thru as “getting my *ucks in a row”.. Gotta love predictive text.

You only need to accidentally text your mother “penis” by accident once before you never text while driving again.
