Recommended reading
I am in a long-distance relationship
he waits for me at the cabin
but not meekly
he is too intelligent
for diffidence
every time I see him
I run my hands over his front
and then his back
remembering
our last time together
then I lay down on my back
by the fire that licks
and cranes its many necks
watching as he enters
me again
I will lend him to you
if you like
when I’m done with him, of course
he was recommended to me
and I took their advice
savouring him
reading him
only a few pages
at a time.
